The Continental T-Belles Track Club (CTBTC) is a nonprofit, accredited girls cross-country and track & field traveling team that has made a difference in the lives of countless young girls in the Middle Tennessee area.  Our mission is to provide an elite year-around track program that enables girls to reach their full potential athletically, educationally and socially.

The CTBTC serves as many girls as possible from all races, social backgrounds and communities.  Participants are trained in all areas of track & field including cross-country, sprinting, long jump, high jump, triple jump, javelin, shot put, pole vault, discus throwing and hurdles. Fundamental instruction is taught in an atmosphere of good sportsmanship and teamwork that promotes a healthy competitive spirit.

For thirty years, a dedicated volunteer coaching staff with a proven track record of competing and winning at the local, regional and national levels has developed and maintained an effective athletic training program that is combined with educational reinforcement aimed at reducing behaviors that threaten the health and social advancement of young girls.  Each participant is exposed to enrichment opportunities such as tutorial and professional counseling, drug and alcohol awareness programs, goal setting, gang violence awareness, nutrition and good hygiene. Sessions are conducted by community leaders, former athletes/Olympians, healthcare providers, crisis prevention workers, police officers, team coaches and parents.

Additionally, all girls who join the CTBTC participate in the GoGirlGo! Project Curriculum. GoGirlGo! is the primary programming focus of the Women’s Sports Foundation and is designed to combat the alarming physical and psychological health hazards affecting America’s young girls.  The GoGirlGo! Curriculum shows girls how to cope with circumstances and change behaviors that threaten their well-being and to embrace a physically-active lifestyle.  This program strengthens our efforts to physically train and educate young athletes about risk behaviors and life lessons.   Finally, our girls are taught to give back by participating in various community programs such as clothing and feeding the homeless at the Nashville Rescue Mission.

Another main CTBTC goal is to provide a pathway to assist the girls beyond a high school level education. The enrichment opportunities and the preparation of physical skills have propelled young women to the collegiate level.  We are proud to boast that 100% of our team members have graduated high school and 85% have graduated college.  They are now flourishing as educators, entrepreneurs and leaders throughout the USA.

Our vision is to improve the quality and effectiveness of the CTBTC program at all levels of participation and competition. By developing and maintaining an effective training program, the young women have an opportunity to excel and reach their full potential.  Coaches, athletes and parents challenge each other and strive to create a program that serves as a model for leadership in the community, state, region, and country.
